It is estimated that there are over 143 million orphaned children worldwide.

While adoption rescues a select few of these children, it will not solve the underlying problems of poverty, neglect, lack of education, and violence. Without addressing these problems at the child’s level, these dangerous cycles are destined to repeat themselves.
